Newest Baby
So Willow is still eating. She's been eating for almost 18 hrs straight. She's gained 5 g. Unfortunately, she has developed mucus in her poop. This is a bad sign for baby bunnies.
Thanks to Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue, I have almost every bunny drug known. I have a "medicine table" with 3 full drawers. So a quick call to Alex and Sari, and I have the right med and the right dose for such a tiny bunny. Keep your fingers crossed for her! She isn't allowed to have any veggies anymore. Just lots of hay, and pellets, and Critical Care.
My two biggest bunnies, Joe and Frank came out to play this morning. They were unimpressed with such a tiny little bunny. Joe said she wasn't even a decent mouthful, and therefore not worth his time to harrass. This is good, because when Joe decides he doesn't like a newcomer, he will spend hours terrorizing it. Instead, he stole a couple pieces of hay (as though he doesn't have his own litter box full of it) and then he moved on. Frank sniffed at her, and then ran away. 7 lb bunny scared of the 12 oz baby. Nice.
Did I mention that Frank isn't the brightest monkey in the barrel? She gets confused easily. I think this is partially because I gave her a boy name. So the confusion started young. Then, Frank decided that she was a Unicorn Lop. This means one ear up, and one ear down. Now, I have both her parents. Neither are lop. Yet, Frank, well, she might be. Joe is when he's really really tired. Like it's just too much effort to hold up such big ears. Frank gets confused if I rearrange anything. Then it's like a whole new room. Only she assumes that a new room means the old rules might not apply anymore. She then digs, and chews and gets chased by me a lot, til she figures out that the old rules still do apply.
Frank really likes my Bird Of Paradise. She hides under it, she trys to eat it. I think it's some kind of instint to hide under foliage... only she doesn't exactly get hidden...

Off to chase rabbits.
